ADOPTION PROCESS

If you see a cat you’d like to meet, submit an application via the ShelterLuv database and one of our Animal Caregivers will contact you.

1. Plan a visit to Mountain Center to meet the cat.

2. Allow 1-2 hours for your visit. You’ll want to spend time in the Cattery or Kittery to get to know the animal.

3. Complete the Adoption Application.

4. Meet with one of our Animal Caregivers.

We do not hold any animals. All adoptions are made on a first come, first served basis.

You must be 19 years old and have proof of residence.

ADOPTION FEES

  • $95 for adult cats (from 1-7 yrs old).
  • $125 for kittens (under 1 year).
  • $15 for senior cats (8 years and older).
Living Free’s Patriot Pets Program: U.S. Military Veterans qualify for adoption fees to be waived.Living Free’s Senior Adopter Program: Senior citizens who are 62 and older qualify for a $15 discount on the Adoption Fee.Living Free’s Buddy Adoption Program: If two cats are related or are closely bonded, there is a 50% discount on adoption fees for the second animal. The Adoption Fee for the first animal cannot be discounted.
